In the light of the global crisis and many difficulties caused by the Covid-19 pandemic and after careful consideration of all available options with all partners involved (IFMBE, EAMBES, the Congress Center and the PCO) we have jointly reached the decision to postpone the EMBEC 2020.

The EMBEC 2020 is rescheduled and will take place between 29 November and 3 December 2020. The venue remains unchanged, that is St. Bernardin Conference Center at Grand Hotel Bernardin in Portorož, Slovenia.

Thank you very much for all the reviews performed for the EMBEC 2020 Conference until now. At this stage we ask you to please stop working on the reviews that you may not have finished yet. All reviews received so far will be forwarded to the authors to improve their contributions. We will reopen the submission system for the postponed EMBEC and announce new important deadlines shortly, so please stay tuned in. When the time arrives again, we will ask you to continue with the reviewing of full-length papers and also to do quick reviews of abstract-only submissions (these have not been assigned yet to anybody). We also hope that we can count on your further assistance in organization of EMBEC 2020.

We sincerely hope that the global situation will improve by the fall of 2020 to permit us to host you between 29 November and 3 December in Portorož and that we will enjoy the EMBEC 2020 together. Stay well and healthy.
