In the context of the ANR project MAIA (“Multiphysics image-based AnalysIs for premature brAin development understanding” http://recherche.imt-atlantique.fr/maia), the candidate will be employed as a post-doctoral fellow (duration: 12–18 months).
His/her main activities will be the following:
− developping new methods and tools for medical image processing / analysis, with a focus on neonate MRI data;
− and / or: developping new methods and tools for numerical simulation in the field of EEG / NIRS for neonate;
− helping / collaborating with phD students (Reims, Rennes, Brest), in coordination with the PhD advisors;
− contributing to scientific publication writing (international journals and conference proceedings articles); participating to communication / dissemination of the results;
− possibly: participating to experimental work, for clinical validation of the developed methods and tool for images and clinical data, in collaboration with clinical partners (University Hospital).
Context and working environment
The candidate will work in Reims, on Campus Moulin de la Housse (CReSTIC laboratory). He/she will have to frequently move to different sites in Reims (University Hospital, Mathematics research Unit).
The employed candidate will work with collaborators from various domains: industry (Kitware), medicine (University Hospital), computer science and mathematics. Open mind and scientific curiosity are mandatory qualities, in this context.
Specific / required skills
The project MAIA is highly pluridisciplinary. The candidate should have a wide range of scientific skills, especially in computer science, image processing / analysis and / or numerical analysis. Skills in C++ / Python will be appreciated.
